NOTICE TO MARINERS

(No.5 of 2010)

KING ROAD, ROYAL PORTBURY ENTRANCE SEABANK PORT ENTRY LIGHT (PEL) - TRIAL CONTINUATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on or about the 15th February 2010, the Seabank Port Entry Light (PEL), in position Latitude 51° 30’.072 N, Longitude 002° 43'.804 W (WGS-84 co-ordinates) will have its sectored bearings altered by -3.9°.

Its new sectors will be as follows (the light characteristics will remain unchanged):

White & Green    Alternating white & green (Al.WG)          086.9°T - 086.7°T (0.2°)

The new PEL leading line bearing will be 086.8°T (centre of the alternating white and green sector). The nominal range of the light remains as 1 NM by day and 5 NM at night.

This sector bearing adjustment is a continuation of the PEL trials.

Notice No.9 of 2008 is hereby cancelled.
