Bristol Port Apprentices Rally for St. Peter's Hospice Post-Christmas Tree Drive

Published: Saturday 3rd February 2024

The apprentices stepped up to assist St. Peter's Hospice in their post-Christmas tree collection initiative at the beginning of January.

The team, consisting of four apprentices and two dedicated training managers, devoted their time from 7 AM to 4 PM, driving around Bristol to collect Christmas trees and transport them to Blaise Plant Nursery for recycling. The efforts of the apprentices significantly contributed to the overall success of the initiative, which raised an impressive £20,247.50 for St. Peter's Hospice. Sophie Cullinane from the Hospice expressed gratitude, stating, "We are so thankful for your vans and crews taking time out of their working week to help collect trees across Bristol. We couldn't continue to do this event without the support of corporates like yourselves." This partnership not only demonstrates the Port’s commitment to community service, but also highlights the importance of corporate support for local charities.
