Bristol Port recently supported the City Council's, M Shed museum, by providing 400 meters of mooring rope for their fleet of historical vessels.

M Shed's collection of historic boats plays a crucial role in educating people about the rich history and significance of the maritime industry in Bristol.

Caroline Booth-Morris, Development Manager at Bristol Museums said, “We are grateful for the long term support from The Bristol Port Company. Having the modern port engaged and involved in supporting our working exhibits, helping us tell the stories and share the heritage of the former city docks is vital to preserving the knowledge of this iconic part of the Bristol landscape.”

The mooring rope donation ensures that these vessels remain safely and securely moored when they are not actively being used for educational purposes. The gesture reflects the Port's commitment to the local community and the preservation of Bristol's maritime legacy.
