At The Bristol Port Company, safety is paramount. By embracing cutting-edge technology, the Port hopes to provide comprehensive training with the help of our new 10-screen Vortex Master Simulator and further instil a safety culture.

During the summer months, ST Engineering Antycip installed the simulator in the newly refurbished Health and Safety Training Centre. It is capable of running numerous training modules for various port equipment including our gantry ship and Gottwald cranes. It can also simulate wind, rain and snow!

Nick Venn, Training Manager at the Bristol Port said: “We are absolutely delighted with the step-training that the crane simulator has provided. It has enabled our instructors to deliver a level of training far beyond the constraints of a classroom and we are already beginning to see the  dividends of this state-of-the-art technology.
