The Bristol Port Company is the UK’s premier car handling port with a current throughput of 650,000 vehicles per annum.  We are seeking to build on this success by recruiting additional resource to support our Commercial Team. 

Principal duties will include analysing shipping and vehicle data to interpret trends, ensuring integrity and accuracy.  You will manage and report on vehicle data and forecasts to utilise vehicle storage across Avonmouth and Royal Portbury Dock.  You will act as a conduit between the commercial and operational teams and establish and co-ordinate vehicle storage needs and future requirements. 

You will also provide cover to the Commercial team to ensure continuity and deal with adhoc enquiries and support the Automotive Director and Head of Compliance in managing the needs of the BPC Temporary Storage Area and bonded warehouse requirements. 

You must be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be tech savvy.  Good communication skills are required, both written and verbal, as you will be required to liaise with senior management and external stakeholders.  You will also have excellent attention to detail with a good standard of numeracy. 

A driving licence and your own transport are essential for this role, as you will be required to undertake site visits and attend off-site meetings.
